Here is a listing and description of what you need in order to install our controller mods:
A Soldering Iron
A simple 15w or 30w (watt) soldering iron will do the job very nicely. You do need to have some basic soldering skills in order to put together our mod kits. Our instructions that come with all of our kits do a great job of showing exactly what you need to do with the high resolution pictures that we use. A soldering iron can be purchased very cheaply at a hobby supply store like Radioshack for under $10. Also make sure to buy some rosin core solder as well.
A T8 Security Torx Screwdriver
This is a special screwdriver that is used to open up your Xbox 360 controller. It has a little pin in the middle of the tip that slides into the screws on the back of your Xbox 360 wireless controller. This tool is actually very hard to find at a local hardware store. Not to worry though, we sell them here.
A Hot Glue Gun (recommended) or Krazy Glue
We recommend purchasing a small hobby hot glue gun to help you install our mods. The hot glue is used to secure our mod chips to your controller's circuit board. You can also use superglue or Krazy Glue to do this but we like hot glue better because it will guarantee that your mod will never come loose. A hot glue gun can be bought for as low as $5.
