What You Will Need
The first thing that you'll need to make a modded controller is a mod kit. Typically, these include some sort of a microchip that has been pre-programmed with the rapid fire mod of your choice, wiring to actually connect to the soldering points of your 360 wireless controller, and resistors to make sure that your controller will last a very long time and you won't burn out any of your led's or burn out your controller board entirely.

What else do I need to know?
Now that you know what you need to make a 360 modded controller, let's take a look inside the Xbox 360 wireless controller and explain some about what you need to do.
The image shown below is a picture of the inside of a Xbox 360 wireless controller. 
The pre-programmed microchip mounts onto the bottom-right corner of the controller board. You will have wires coming from the mod chip going to several different soldering points on the controller board that you will need to solder to. There are about 6-7 soldering points/connections that you will need to make on the board itself. Our instructions, sent to you through e-mail immediately after purchase, explain exactly where and how to make each connection, complete with close-up pictures of each soldering point. Each step of the process is simple, even for someone who has never soldered anything before, and only takes a few seconds to complete. On average, from start to finish, the entire process of modding your controller takes less than an hour. That includes:
- Disassembling your Xbox 360 controller
- Preparing the mod chip for installation
- Mounting the mod chip
- Making the necessary connections to the controller board
- Closing your controller back up
